Colombia - Valeria Pino
Our newest coffee comes from a young farmer in Colombia. We have teamed up with Unblended Coffee to add this bold beautiful bean to our expanding lineup. Although we have kept this coffee to a medium profile, it carries a rich depth that will most definitely make an excellent cup to start your morning off right. It paired really well with a lemon or blueberry muffin, but then again, we were just hungry for muffins.
Tasting notes: rich bakers’ chocolate, toasted almonds, and a sweet buttery mouthfeel
Valeria is 17 years old. She’s joyful, passionate and sweet. She is the second child of The Pinos family, a family that has been coffee farming for many years. And now, she joined UVI because she wants to start working with coffee, but she wants to tell the story differently, be creative, to tell the consumer every detail on the coffee and make them fall in love. She wants to tell the world that there, in a small town in Antioquia, - Montebello - there’s a young girl that’s excited to start her journey in coffee and she dreams that every young child from coffee producers feels the same way. Valeria is an inspiration for other young coffee producers to join this path and buying this coffee help support her through the UVI mentoring program.
