Colombia - Oscar Osorio
Our newest coffee comes from a farmer in Colombia. We have teamed up with Unblended Coffee to add this bold beautiful bean to our expanding lineup. Although we have kept this coffee to a medium profile, it carries a rich depth that will most definitely make an excellent cup to start your morning off right. It paired really well with a lemon or blueberry muffin, but then again, we were just hungry for muffins.
This is Oscar’s first step into experimental coffee, driven by his dream of joining the specialty coffee world. With roots in tradition and a vision for innovation, he’s transforming his farm by planting rare varietals like Geisha and Wush Wush. While they grow, he hones his fermentation skills. For this lot, cherries were fermented in sealed tanks for 110 hours, then depulped and washed to preserve sweetness and clarity. The result is a cup full of patience, passion, and promise.
Tasting notes: rich bakers’ chocolate, caramel, red apple
